After talking to a lot of well known hay farmers, Hay isn't turning out to be as plentiful this year as the year before. If We don't get any rain before June, says one farmer, round bales are going to skyrocket to 60.00 to 75.00 this fall. Square bales could go as high as 5.00 a bale, or more, providing there are no second cuts. All their crops aren't turning out as much hay as needed to carry themselves and to sell others for the winter. Anouther farmer says if they are meaning to get hay for the winter, better not wait till fall, there may not be none. We are going through a drought and even our fields aren't yeilding what they normally do. Is anyone else out there concerned?See More
